Dr Ahmed Al Rashidi

Dr Ahmed Al Rashidi is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist with over 15 years of experience diagnosing and treating complex cardiovascular conditions. He joined Ark Medical Centre in 2018 after a distinguished career at leading cardiac centres in the United Kingdom and the UAE, bringing with him a wealth of expertise in minimally invasive coronary and structural heart procedures.

Dr Al Rashidi has performed thousands of percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs), including complex multi-vessel disease cases, chronic total occlusions, and transcatheter aortic valve implantations (TAVI). His practice integrates the latest intravascular imaging technologies — including IVUS and OCT — to guide precise stent placement and optimise long-term patient outcomes.

Beyond the catheterisation laboratory, Dr Al Rashidi runs a comprehensive preventive cardiology clinic focused on risk stratification, lipid management, and lifestyle modification. He believes strongly that the best cardiac intervention is the one never required — a philosophy that shapes every consultation he conducts.

Dr Al Rashidi is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and an active member of the Gulf Heart Association. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers and contributed to three clinical guidelines on coronary artery disease management in the Middle East region.
